Parents of children with special needs are welcome to discuss with the teacher to explore the possibility of joining the classes.

ABADÁ-CAPOEIRA is currently the largest Capoeira school in Brazil and worldwide, with over 50,000 capoeiristas. Founded by Mestre Camisa in 1988, its mission is to preserve the traditional roots of Capoeira while evolving with the times. Mestre Camisa is undeniably one of the greatest Capoeira masters in the world. Known and respected by all, he has succeeded in making Capoeira more objective, effective, technical, and structured.

At ABADÁ-Capoeira, we offer Capoeira classes for children, teens, and adults — All Levels Welcome.

A medical certificate confirming the child is fit for sports activities is requested for enrollment.

Classes & Schedules

• All levels are welcome! Groups are divided into beginners and advanced within the class.
• Annual Plan: When enrolling in the annual plan, children can attend classes at any time and location, suitable for their age.
• Teens aged 15+ join the adult classes.

Etterbeek Sport Center

• Thursdays, 16:30 – 17:30 – Kids 5 to 7 years old
• Thursdays, 17:30 – 18:30 – Kids 8 to 14 years old
• Thursdays, 18:30 – 20:00 (Only 2 times per month) - Thematic classes for children and adults (e.g. acrobatics, instruments, roda, etc.)

Sport City Woluwe-Saint-Pierre
(Salomélaan 2, 1150 St-Pieters-Woluwe)

• Wednesdays, 16:00 – 17:00 – Kids
• Sundays, 10:00 – 12:00 – Kids and parents (children can also join alone)

Discount for Parents

Parents who wish to participate in Sunday classes receive a discount on enrollment. The regular fee for adults is €650 per year, but if the child is already enrolled, the adult pays €300 per year.. They can also attend classes at any other time and location.

Francisco Alves (Mestrando Tigre) has been teaching Capoeira for over 25 years. For nine years, he taught Capoeira to 350 students in Israel. From 2006 to 2013, he gave Capoeira classes in Spain. Since 2013, Mestrando Tigre has been teaching Capoeira in Brussels. He is currently one of the representatives of the international group Abadá Capoeira and one of the most experienced instructors in Europe. He is among the only three mestrandos in Europe to hold the “red” belt, the highest rank on the continent.
