• The Museum is accessible to disabled visitors and the purchase of a concession ticket for a disabled visitor includes free admission for one accompanying adult.
• There are two parking spaces in the main Museum parking reserved for those with disabled parking badges.
• There are two main lifts (A and B) that are accessible to everyone, as well as several lifts for wheelchair users.
• For blind and partially sighted visitors, we recommend a visit to the paleoLAB, which offers a wide variety of fun activities, as well as lots of objects, particularly fossils and minerals, that can be handled.

Museum of Natural Sciences

A natural must-see for children and adults. Meet the famous Bernissart Iguanodons in the largest Dinosaur Gallery in Europe. Learn about the human body and how it evolved in the Gallery of Humankind and go back in time in the Gallery of Evolution. You can also find out about urban species in BiodiverCITY, discover specimens which illustrate the Museum’s history in the 250 years of Natural Sciences hall. Admire the magnificent crystals in the Mineral Hall, and experience something new every year by visiting the temporary exhibitions or by taking part in one of the educational service’s interactive activities.

The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences is much more than its popular museum. It is also a research institute and it manages world-class natural sciences collections.

Whether you're feeling a bit hungry or thirsty, or if you could eat a dinosaur, head to the Dino Café! Here you will find a wide range of food to eat in or take away. Our menu is a hit with children and includes sandwiches, salads, soups, hot meals and hot dogs.

• Monday: closed
• Tuesday - Friday: 9:30 - 17:00
• Saturday - Sunday: 10:00 - 18:00
• Last entry is at 15.30 from Tuesday to Friday and at 16.30 on Saturday and Sunday and during the Belgian school holidays.
• The Museum is closed on the 25th of December, 1st of January, and 1st of May.

• Seniors (65+), Disabled visitors: €10,00
• Students, children and teenagers aged 4-17 (accompanied by an adult), teachers (excluding school visits), Friends of the Institute: €5,00
• Children under four, accompanied by at least one paying adult: Free
• For one accompanying person per disabled visitor: Free
• Entrance to the museum is free for everybody on the first Wednesday of every month, after 13:00

PARKING

Parking possibilities are limited in the area of the Museum and their parking area has priority to visitors with reduced mobility.

MUST KNOW

• You can leave your coats, bags and umbrellas in the cloakroom free of charge. For valuables, we recommend you to use the free keyless lockers.
• Taking photographs and filming in the museum is allowed, as long as flashes and tripods are not used, and on the condition that the resulting images are for personal use only and are not for professional or commercial purposes.
