Bokrijk is the ideal family destination for a day packed with experience. From young to old, there is something for everyone. The domain features 4 mains attractions:
Cycling through the Water' is a unique cycling experience in which you cycle more than 200 meters straight through a pond . The cycle path was opened in April 2016 and since then many cyclists and walkers have felt the magic of this place.
The bike path leads you right through a pond, all the way from one bank to the other. In the middle, the water is at eye level on both sides. You feel, see and smell the water. A beautiful and unique view of this piece of nature. When you watch from a distance it is funny to see all those heads passing on the surface of the water. Although it is called 'Cycling through the Water', the path is accessible to walkers and joggers.
THE LARGEST FREE OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND IN FLANDERS
Wow! Mega slides, swings, a wire circus, a maze, a spectacular cable car and even a real toddler village... the Open Air Playground in Bokrijk is not only huge, it's also super fun. There is a zone for every age ; there are special toys for disabled children . And the funniest thing? The playground is accessible all year round for free !
The playground is open daily from sunrise to sunset for free. The site is completely fenced. Consult the crowd barometer before you leave. There is only one entrance and exit, near the fragrance and color garden. You do n't have to book a ticket to visit the playground.

Stroll and feast your eyes in the Arboretum, an 18-hectare forest with a unique collection of plants, trees and shrubs . You will find holly, magnolia, rhododendron and a beautiful collection of oak and beech trees . Also admire the different types of ferns and bamboo. Many of these plants are threatened with extinction or have already disappeared from their natural habitat.
The Arboretum is freely accessible daily . A signposted one-way walking route of 1.7 km will guide you past the most beautiful places.
Curious where our current customs and traditions come from? In addition to a rich collection of historic buildings and objects, the museum also gives intangible cultural heritage – rituals, stories and techniques – and various 'old' animal breeds a place in its collection. You will also find our green heritage here: vegetable gardens with forgotten vegetables, standard orchards, a hop field and herb garden ... How did the past inspire our present and our future ? Be surprised by four fascinating museum parts, each with its own unique interpretation
