In the heart of Saint-Gilles, hidden at the bottom of a valley and almost hidden from view, the Baron Pierre Paulus park is one of those timeless places where it is good to get lost for a few moments. This garden is a reduced reproduction of a romantic English park, as evidenced by the fountains, a pond with cemented banks with the appearance of fake stones, “factories”, water troughs and springs. The more recent part, decorated with lawns, play areas and decorative shrub beds, links Place Morichar to the former location of the Hôtel des Monnaies. There are many remarkable trees such as the ash trees, chestnut trees, weeping beeches, plane trees, black locust trees, birches, etc.
