DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to Capoeira Angola Bruxelles! Led by Contra Mestre Charel, our group, Angoleiros do Mar, offers vibrant weekly classes for adults and kids, filled with positive energy and good vibes. We also provide demonstrations and individual classes upon request. Whether you're new to capoeira or experienced, your first try-out class is free!

ABOUT US

The 'Centro Cultural de Capoeira Angoleiros do Mar' was established on March 5, 1999, by Mestre Marcelo Angola in Barra Grande, Bahia, Brazil. This cultural center remains our group's heart, drawing numerous students each year. We preserve the roots and traditions of Capoeira Angola while fostering its evolution and sharing its rich history, philosophy, and artistic movements.

WE PROPOSE:
- weekly classes for children and adults,
- demonstrations and group or personal training,
- lessons in instruments, percussion and capoeira songs and Afro-Brazilian rhythms.
MUST KNOW:
Kids can start any time of the year until approximately February and pay proportionally.

CONTRA MESTRE CHAREL

Contra Mestre Charel Perêré is a musician and capoeirista. Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, he is the founder of Capoeira Bruxelles - Angoleiros do Mar, as well as the Angoleiros do Mar Lausanne group in Switzerland.

He came into contact with capoeira at a young age and began learning Capoeira Angola in 2003 with Contra Mestre Gigante and Mestre Marcelo Angola in Barra Grande, on the island of Itaparica, Bahia, Brazil.

He arrived in Europe in 2006 and continued his training as a treinel within the Angoleiros do Mar Lille association with Contra Mestre Bizarre for a year. In 2006, he moved to Switzerland and created the Angoleiros do Mar Lausanne group, where he taught movement and music classes to adults, children, and teenagers. He deepened his expertise by working as an early childhood and youth educator for the city of Lausanne.

In 2014, he founded Capoeira Bruxelles - Angoleiros do Mar, where he teaches Capoeira Angola movement and music classes in Brussels.
