LUDOTHEQUE WALALOU

Thanks to the cooperation with social organizations and schools, Walalou develops a regular number of activities with young parents, programs for young mothers, specific projects for new students, literacy activities, internships during the holidays , etc.

Walalou asbl is an association with a three-space concept: toy library space, Snoezelen space and Psychomotor space. Our actions are put at the service of families, schools and organizations. While receiving advice and training, our public can borrow game equipment and play on site. Parents can ask questions about play, education or child development and exchange ideas. Children can participate in moments of entertainment, holiday activities or internships. Teachers can try out games in the toy library, come to visit with their class, hold information sessions for parents on games and language learning or borrow game boxes.

The toy library aims to reach the south-west part of the Brussels-Capital region. Children of all ages are welcome but the main focus is on 2-10 year olds. Much attention is paid to educational games, language games and the role that parents play in this area. These factors greatly influence the success of the child in school and in our society.

PROJECTS:

Family-Ludo

A space for exchanges, advice and meetings to enjoy a moment of pleasure with family and others. Smile, listen, have fun and discover yourself. Try to discover the different Universes of the game!

Schedule :

• Wednesday: 2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 10am-1pm

Alpha-Ludo

French lessons for adults, in a fun atmosphere. At stake, express oneself, read and write. To learn is to exist together!

Schedule :

• Monday and Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Schola-Ludo

School support with personalized follow-up for primary school children. We start with a small snack while talking with the children and we end the day with a game. It's always nicer to end up playing!

Schedule :

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Anim-Ludo

Personalized animations that can target specific skills/objectives according to the needs of different groups such as homes, schools, nurseries, adults, etc. 3 mornings per week
