The Provincial Estate of Mirwart is full of little treasures. It includes a fish farm (35 ponds) renowned for the quality of its trout "fario" for the re-stocking. Just a step away, also the didactic apiary of Marsoult makes it possible for adults and to the children, to discover the fabulous world of bees in complete safety.
The forest is managed according to principles of sustainable management. The trays are covered with a beautiful beech forest mixed with some oaks and plots of Douglas fir, spruce and larch. The edges of streams are naturally colonized by alders, willows and maples. The estate has a remarkable historical past found in many places of the forest through a small heritage interesting (blast furnace of the 16C, cooler, old bridges, ponds). At Mirwart you can do fishing workshops, visit the fish farm (book in advance) and nature-themed guided walks.
